Today's the Day!

Today I start school. I would be lying to say that I am not a little nervous. When I sent in my application I was excited and ready to start and now, I am dredding it for some reason.Maybe it is because Lil Sis has already told me she is going to miss our cuddle time tonight.I am going to miss it too. I am sure things will be fine after my first night but, this has been a really long day and now I am going to class. I will try to update tomorrow on how things went. Hopefully I will have a better outlook on things tomorrow.

Orphans

Big Sis is insisting that when she gets married one day one of my grandchildren will be from China. She also intends for one to be from Africa just like her compassion sister and another from some other land far away with exotic eyes and beautiful colorful skin. While this makes my heart smile to hear this and I am so very grateful that the Lord is already working in her heart for the children that may some day call her mom it also break my heart for some families who are having a hard time with this process. Will you please take a moment and go Here to pray and intercede on this family's behalf? Today I will be praying for them and their sweet little boy who is many miles from a family that loves him so much. Also say a prayer for Big Sis's future husband....he is going to marry a handful!

Just Because

Because it is Wednesday and because I know I have one person who checks each day, I decided to update you all with a short post. Life is good at the homestead we are all way too busy and I just found out that I will start my first night of class next Thursday. I am terrified to say the least. I am sure things will be fine but, did I mention that I am already way too busy? Yeah, thought so...what was I thinking adding more insanity to my life? Oh well, wish me luck!

It's Here!!!

Praise be to God! Spring officially starts on Sunday but with the high in the 80's for the next two days I would say it is already here. I think spring is my favorite and fall is a close second. I HATE winter and I despise being cold! It is time for bare feet, Easter eggs, frilly dresses, tulips, and the smell of fresh cut grass. It really does bring happiness to my soul. Be sure and ask me how much I love it when it hits 95 here in the south.....that is another story! Hopefully this weekend will be spent relaxing and getting some work done outside (don't tell Big Daddy). Hope you enjoy your first weekend of spring!

Some People!

Some people just really tick me off! Especially when it is grown adults who do not have any common sense!  Then there are those people who mess with my Big Daddy and that really gets me. Take a look at him....





He is just a big old teddy bear:) I just want you to know that I love you and I appreciate all you do for us, including putting up with idiots who do not have the sense God gave a brick! I hope you have a great day today and remember if you need me I am always here. You know I love to work on a gas tank...he he he he:)

Where Has The Time Gone?

In a few short hours I will take Big Sis to register her for high school. Where has the time gone?

I am not sure that I am ready for this. She can be driving in a year and in 4 years she will be going to COLLEGE! I am so very proud of her and the young lady she has become but when I see this picture I still see my baby girl. Tonight is going to be interesing for sure. We will have to pick a major and get a graduation plan together. At least Big Daddy will be there to help me out as we make decisions for her future and to hand me a kleenex when the tears start to fall. Hopefully I can keep it together and will not embarass her too much. Wish us luck!
